This coming 25th September 2022, the Latin American and Caribbean Embassies in Kuala Lumpur reunite to bring the 13th Latin American Festival back to the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This Charity event at Commons KL (formerly known as BB Park) promises to showcase the wonderful colours, flavors & rhythms of these countries.
Proceeds of the event will be donated to the YAYASAN ORANG BUTA MALAYSIA (YOBM).
13th Latin American Festival was recently launched with an exclusive preview for the Press held in Kontiki Restaurant, Federal Hotel on 23rd August 2022. The Press had a chance to preview beautiful performances : Argentine Tango by Alysa & Iskandar. Brazilian Capoeira by Movimiento Simples and Mexican Folklore by by Itzayana Mexican Folkloric Dance Group. We also had a chance to sample some of the food that will be featured at the Festival.
Latin America gets closer to Malaysia for the 13th time, with music, gastronomy, dances and handicrafts from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and Peru to be held at Commons KL (formerly known as BB Park), Jalan Bukit Bintang on Sunday, 25th September 2022 from 11 am - 6 pm.
The celebration of the vibrant cultures is jointly organized by the Group of Latin American and Carribean Countries (GRULAC), with Plaza Low Yat, Federal Hotels International, the Latin Women's Association of Malaysia, with the support of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL), to bring closer Malaysia and the Latin American countries.
Embassies will feature typical food & beverages, original handicrafts, and tourism information, emphasizing on the multi-ethnic and cultural diversity of their respective countries. Great cultural performances such as Tango from Argentina, Capoeira from Brazil, Folkloric dances from Mexico & Chile, Colombian & Cuban music, Andean music from Peru, along with multi-colored traditional attire.
Peruvian Chicha Morada : Special Purple Corn Drink will be featured during the festival. It's really delicious & refreshing!
Chile: Fresh Fruits, Frozen Tooothfish (Patagonian Cod) and Salmon, Chilean Abalone (canned), Mussels and Frozen Fruits

Yayasan Orang Buta Malaysia (YOBM), that provides various welfare and socio-economic services to the blind and visually impaired and their family members, who will be receiving all the proceeds from the festival.
